Michael Bury
Michael is married, and has two sons. He received his BA in
English from Towson State (Maryland) in 1985, and his
Master's degree in English from West Chester University in 1995.
Since then he has spent much of his time teaching chess, and
entering chess tournaments.
Michael is the Tournament Director of the West Chester Chess
Club, where he lectures as well. He has published articles and
chess games, and has helped set up chess clubs in several
schools. His tournament wins include the Maryland State Chess
Champ in 1984, and the Pennsylvania Senior Champ in 2005. He was
the West Chester Chess Club Champion 14 times and is a Life
Master of the United States Chess Federation.
We are looking forward to developing a great chess group. Maybe
some will become champs!
