Vincent Russo

Vinny was born in Brooklyn, NY , and studied to be a Catholic priest throughout high school and for a year and half of college. He was saved in the summer of 1970 through the witness of a co worker at Chase Manhattan Bank, and then God had other plans for him. He was married on May 20,1972 to Ellen, and they have two children: Karen-32 and Karl-30. Karl is married with one child , Adam James, who will be 2 years old soon.

Vinny received a BA in Psychology from St. Francis in Brooklyn; a Th.b. from Northeastern Bible College ; a M.Div and D.Min from Trinity Seminary ( Indiana ); and a M.Ed. Widener University.

He was employed for 2 years on Wall St., and 18 years in full time ministry as a pastor and inner -city evangelist. Vinny then took his knowledge to the classroom, and has been teaching since1990, all but 2 years of it in public school.

Vinny earned a First Degree Brown Belt (one level below black belt) in Kenpo Karate ; served as Committeeman and VP of the Newtown Republican Party , and has taught and judged Cross X Policy debate.

He brings a wealth of knowledge in many areas, including biblical, and I am sure he will quickly become a favorite teacher at Cornerstone!
